Hazardous Waste Disposal Services

Slaby Environmental Inc. (SEI) offers full drummed and bulk waste disposal throughout the state of California, offering cost proposals per drum, ton, or gallon for waste transport and disposal at permitted TSD facilities. SEI provides complete handling for our clients needs.

SOIL DISPOSAL

Slaby Environmental Inc. can offer complete handling of your soil disposal needs whether in drums or bulk. Non-Hazardous, Cal-Regulated or RCRA disposal is indicated by Classification.

Our environmental coordinators will work with Project Managers to obtain the necessary information and prepare all soil profiles and shipping documents. We also handle arrangement of roll off bin drops and trucks to either transport drums or end dump trucks to move whole city blocks that may be deemed a disposal requirement.

SEI works with permitted, licensed transport firms and treatment facilities to insure our clients' satisfaction of their waste disposal. By receipt of Letter of Destruction from each disposal episode a record of the date and manner by which their waste was received and disposed of is provided for the client's files.

Soil disposal is accomplished by varying methods.

NON HAZARDOUS

The TSD Facility receives these non-hazardous soils. Drums are emptied and blended with asphalt mastics (Hydrocarbon binding compounds) to encapsulate all hydrocarbon contamination present in the soils.

CAL REGULATED

These non-RCRA soil are received and blended with various compounds to stabilize contamination (usually metals such as lead). In the case of lead-impacted soil the lead is blended at the TSD Facility to form lead chelates and becomes a non-hazardous material.

RCRA

These soils generally must be disposed of by incineration. A case-by-case basis of study of soil contaminants and TSD Facility capability is needed to offer disposal options.

WATER DISPOSAL

By LUFT regulations any hydrocarbon-contaminated water under 1000 ppm is generally considered to be Non-hazardous. If the hydrocarbon constituents are MTBE, TBA or other oxygenates these allowable limits can be considerably higher.

Treatment of wastewaters, either drummed or vacuum truck volumes, are handled through TSD Facilities, in which Slaby Environmental Inc. has founded long-term disposal contracts. Each site information received by Slaby Environmental trained and certified environmental coordinators is reviewed. A site-specific quote can then be issued by them based on analytical received by us. Once approved, all profiling, shipping documentation and transport scheduling is done in-house by Slaby Environmental Inc., with any input necessary from Project managers or the generator's representative. Letters of Destruction are issed for each individual shipment received to provide the generator with record keeping as to the end of their liability.

Disposal of water is generally done on site at the TSD Facility, utilizing state of the art filtration methods to render your waste waters free of VOCs and low level metals.

RCRA classified waters are generally sent for incineration. Costs are based on volumes and solids content, and quotation for disposal is sent to our clients on an individual basis.

These are costs for drum transport and disposal from sites throughout the State of California. Please call us for bulk soil and/or water rate quote.
